Chinese spinach soup
Puay Leng (Chinese spinach, Thai calls Gaeng Jued Puay Leng)
is a vegetable that contains many nutrients, such as calcium, phosphorus,
potassium, iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, and Vitamin C. Also, it contains
lutein for the eyes, which can filter high-energy blue light from computer
screens. Eating Puay Leng regularly supports good eye health and clear
vision.
It also contains beta-Carotene to help stop cancer cells. So Puay Leng
gives you many great benefits. The author always cooks using Puay Leng
as an ingredient. One such menu item, suitable and tasty for the winter
weather coming soon, is Gaeng Jued soup. Eating fresh Puay Leng, which
is high in salicylates, can block the body from absorbing iron and folates,
causing calcium and zinc deficiency. Gout patients should eat Puay Leng
in small amounts, because this vegetable is high in uric acid.
Ingredient:
Chinese spinach 100 grams
Minced pork 100 grams
Fish balls 10 pieces
Preserved fish sausage (thinly sliced) 5 pieces
Light soy sauce 1 tablespoon
Fish sauce 1 teaspoon
Water 2 cups
Instructions:
1. Marinate the mince pork in light soy sauce for a while.
Then form into ball.
2. Wash the spinach and cut off roots.
3. Pour water in a pot and put on the stove. Wait until it boils.
Add pork balls, fish balls and preserved fish sausage.
4. Season with fish sauce until the soup boils again.
Add Puay Leng. Turn off the stove.
